Hello and welcome!
Military Pathways® works to reduce mental health stigma and encourage help-seeking in the military community. We do this by offering free, educational resources and anonymous, online screenings to military service members and their families. To date, we’ve screened nearly 225,000 people and educated thousands about the signs and symptoms of mental health and alcohol use disorders. While these numbers are promising, we know there is still more work to be done and we can’t do it alone. We need your help.
For this reason, we’ve created the Military Pathways blog to foster a community of involvement, become a hub for learning about military mental health resources and shine a spotlight on organizations that are keeping our military community emotionally healthy.
The Military Pathways blog will focus on military mental health. Each month we will center on a different mental health theme. This month’s theme is “Military Children’s Emotional Well-being.”
Upcoming blog themes include:
- Mental Health Tools at Your Finger Tips
- Total Force Fitness: Mind, Body and Spirit
- Alcohol Awareness
Check out the Military Pathways 2012 Editorial Calendar to see all of this year’s themes.
Again, we can’t fight military mental health stigma alone– your opinions, ideas and stories count. So, leave comments, ask questions and interact with others. And, if you have a story you think would make a great blog post, visit our submission page.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Regards,
The Military Pathways Team military@mentalhealthscreening.org
